The perfect adults-only vacation
For a vacation that’s all of the fun and none of the stress, adults-only all-inclusive resorts are hard to beat. You simply choose your destination, pick a room, and the rest—from activities to food, and even tipping at many properties—is taken care of. You can leave your wallet in your room and simply dive right into vacation bliss without a worry. Depending on the destination you choose, you’ll find the ideal romantic retreat, a great girlfriends’ getaway, or a solo vacation sans kids…yours or anyone else’s. With this option, every pool will be the adults pool, and meals and entertainment options are more “grown up.” (However, if you’re looking for an all-inclusive family resort, we have plenty of ideas for those, too.)
How we chose our top adults-only all-inclusive resorts
To help you narrow down the extensive adults-only all-inclusive options—which include some of our favorite all-inclusive resorts in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Mexico—we consulted with travel experts who spend their careers finding the best vacation getaways. Then we double-checked their suggestions with user reviews and star ratings on TripAdvisor to make sure consumers agreed that these were indeed great spots with equally impressive activities, entertainment, and food. And finally, we highlighted the best in each category, to make it easy for you to find the best all-inclusive resort for your adults-only vacation.

Designed to evoke a secluded Spanish hacienda, this hotel features 80 spacious suites, some with private pools and Jacuzzis, all nestled on the greens of Marina Vallarta’s 18-hole golf course. Although it’s not located right on the ocean, Casa Velas’ guests have complimentary beach access to Táu Beach Club just five minutes away (by private shuttle), complete with pool concierge service, loungers, and chairside service—as well as all-inclusive tropical co*cktails and all-day sushi. Here, guests have the best of a small intimate property with all the amenities of a large resort, since they can also visit nearby Grand Velas to try out gym classes or dine at other restaurants, although TripAdvisor reviewers rave about the on-site Emiliano restaurant.
The other things reviewers can’t say enough about in their five-star reviews: the staff, who are “friendly,” “helpful,” and “incredible.” On the property, you’ll also find the ABJA Spa, which offers treatment rooms for singles and couples, a hydrotherapy area, a fitness center, and a beauty salon. And here’s one hotel amenity you don’t see every day: a handbag bar, where guests can enjoy use of a “loaner” designer handbag at no extra charge.
Pros:
- Private beach-club access
- Handbag bar
Con:
- Not directly on the beach

Best adults-only resort for snorkeling
Club Med Turkoise, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
Sometimes a spot seems a little too good to be true, but then you realize it’s actually everything you oped it would be and more. Take, for instance, Club Med Turkoise, which sits on pristine Grace Bay, a bucket-list-worthy beach on a stretch of water considered to be one of the top diving and snorkeling spots in the world. It’s also home to Sharkies Bar, which offers one of the most gorgeous sunset views in all of Turks and Caicos.
What could be better? We’re so glad you asked. The whole resort is an adults-only paradise with all-day entertainment, yoga, golf, trapeze lessons, and water activities like snorkeling and sailing; you can even learn to scuba dive while you’re here. There’s also a waterside wine cellar, where you can toast your beach vacation with a glass of champagne or whatever other adult beverage you’re in the mood for.
Pros:
- Located on one of the best beaches in the world
- Fantastic snorkeling and diving
Con:
- The wine cellar is an extra cost

The Lodge at Woodloch, Hawley, Pennsylvania
You might be surprised to discover that there’s a luxe, adults-only all-inclusive resort less than two hours from Philadelphia and New York City.
